A new model was launched in 2009 and it was instantly recognized as a machine with a large slice of track capability built into the base road bike specification. The Ninja ZX-6R has proven to be first a race winner and then, in 2012, a championship winner.
Not only the eventual champion Kenan Sofuoglu was able to win races in 2012, but also Fabien Foret scored two victories on it and other podium places came along as the machine truly came of age in WSS. Development work from the new Mahi Racing Team has been ongoing since the Lorenzini Kawasaki team won the title with Sofuoglu last year, so much is expected from the Ninja ZX-6R once more.
